“Continuum” Phase Shifter released!

Gosh, it seems all I do nowadays is release new modules…Continuum has it’s roots in my previous guitar effects pedal designs. First there was Causality 4, then Causality 6, then Gemini Dual Core.

Continuum looks and acts rather like a VCF, in fact that’s exactly what a phaser is, an all-pass VCF. There’s far more to phasers than just sweeps up and down from an LFO, so Continuum has two CV inputs, so you can use a variety of CV sources simultaneously.

The topology of Continuum is 4 swept OTA all-pass filter stages with a fixed all-pass filter stage either side of the swept core. There’s a switch to select regen over odd or even stages. Most phasers stick to odd stages, but there are undiscovered sonic possibilities using even stages of regen.

System X is rounding out nicely.

My modules based on the Roland System 100M are going from strength to strength. Already available are System X Envelope and System X Filter. I’ll soon be adding System X Amplifier (VCA) and System X Oscillator (VCO) to complete the System X ‘voice’.

So, as well as individual modules, I’m thinking of doing a ‘voice panel’ – fully modular, but on a single mahoosive panel. So what do you think in terms of architecture?

Either, single oscillator mono: VCO – VCF – VCA – ADSR

Or, dual oscillator mono: VCO x2 – VCF – VCA – ADSR x 2

Anyway, here’s the prototypes of the single modules, I’ll be releasing these as time allows, and when I get my first batches of panels fabbed.

Waverider Digital VCO – here we go! Now in production, wavetable VCO with tons of features: CV’d interpolating waveforms, CV’d subosc waveforms and octaves, CV’d glide, bitcrushing and more! Theses three are going to Cody at Equinoxoz Music Solutions.

I’m happy to announce the second module in my Roland System 100M clone series, the System X Envelope on 4HP. Includes the addition of a range switch for fast/slow response. Even snappier than a crocodile sandwich. These five are going to Equinoxoz.

I’ll be adding quite a few new modules to the stable soon. These three will be available as soon as I receive my new shipment of panels in January, the first batch are going to Equinoxoz:

- System X Envelope (Roland 100M ADSR) on 4HP panel.

- Waverider Digital VCO (Electric Druid wavetable oscillator) on 14HP panel.

- Continuum Phase Shifter (Euro version of my Causality/Gemini phaser) on 10HP panel.

Furthermore, got another three new ones due for release in February:

- System X Amplifier (Roland 100M VCA) on 10HP panel.

- Bullwhip Filter (Moog Taurus MkI VCF clone) on 10HP panel.
